ABCorp’s history dates back to 1795, more than 225 years. We started out as secure printers – designing & producing better, more counterfeit-resistant currency for the First Bank of the United States. Our products & services have changed, but secure envelops everything we do. Today, we design, manufacture, and personalize contactless credit cards, 3D print highly detailed prototypes & parts, and use digital content to elevate the customer experience in a secure envelope. About Us

ABCorp is a manufacturing services company like no other. Our roots as a secure printer trace back, through American Bank Note Company, over two centuries, to 1795 when the newly established First Bank of the United States called upon us to create a counterfeit-resistant currency for a young nation.

Since that day, everything we have done is wrapped in security. We are expert at fraud prevention, and are called upon to design manufacturing processes where the tolerance for error is zero.

3D Printing

The application for 3D printing is nothing short of a sea change – rapid, full-color prototyping and even short-run, highly detailed parts manufacturing. Imagine it, and 3D technology can make it happen.

ABCorp offers the latest generation of HP Multi Jet Fusion, and Desktop Metal Binderjet technology, with a wide array of available materials from PA12, PA11, Polypro, BASF TPU, and Full-Color PA12. In addition, we offer 174PH Stainless Steel and finishing in a highly secure envelope.

We are not aware of another provider in the sector that offers our combination of experience, technology, and security in an Integraf (ISO 14298) certified facility. Couple that with being a FDA registered manufacturing facility, ABCorp is your go to 3D parts provider.

ABCorp has been active in the payments sector for more than 2 centuries.

The institutional knowledge we have accrued is beyond compare. We are expert in payment ecosystems – open (e.g., Mastercard & Visa) and closed loop (e.g., transit & gift cards). There is not a facet of the payment sector we do not presently touch – physical or virtual. It is this experience that has informed our approach.

We believe service providers must be expert, nimble, and adept at taking friction out of the system; always seeking to raise the level of their offering. Sadly, this view is largely lost on legacy providers to the financial services sector – they offer a support model that is decades old. This, in part, stems from legacy issuers and processors viewing the supplier side of the financial ecosystem as a developed, commodity-like product, and not strategic. The result is a reactive, and tired network of service providers that do little to reinvest in their business or raise the bar in terms of service or capabilities.

Take, for instance, the simple debit or credit card. In just the past few years the U.S. has migrated from magstripe cards, to EMV contact only cards, and now contactless payments. It was not until April 2021 that gas stations were required to upgrade their pumps to comply with the not-so-new EMV standard. Those issuers who view their card portfolio as a commodity product, relegated to a simple procurement exercise, overlook an important opportunity to differentiate their offering and better engage the consumer.

Challenger Banks and FinTechs have also identified this lethargy. They ask – Why does it need to be so hard? – to see their vision come to reality, including new forms of differentiation – e.g., bespoke packaging, digital content, and omnichannel engagement, to name a few.
